On January 1, Lithuania last of the Baltic States has moved to the single European currency - the euro.
Responsible for the euro European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis said that thus completes the return of the Baltic countries in the political and economic center of Europe.
He also stressed that Lithuania after the economic crisis has made great efforts to restore financial stability, to revive economic growth and join the Eurozone.
Lithuania became the 19th state - a member of the eurozone, which unites 337 million Europeans.
